Process Water

Process water is broadly defined as water used in industry, manufacturing processes, power generation and similar applications. The term process water may also be used to refer to boiler make-up water; cooling tower make-up water; water used in coating and plating; rinsing and spraying; washing milling and more.

Industrial process water is used to optimize most water-based industrial processes. Municipal and ground water supplies may not be suitable for many processes in manufacturing facilities. Untreated water may contain high levels of minerals, sediment, etc. that make it poor for manufacturing use.

Forsta self-cleaning filters are ideal for removing suspended solids from process water streams, protecting manufacturing equipment or finer downstream treatment equipment or processes. Degree of filtration will depend on the concentration of solids in the water source as well as the specific manufacturing use.
